A Fast night at the races!

Mother Nature found a hole in her radiator, so she had no water to poor on the parade at the El Paso Speedway Park! It was the return of the USRA Dirt Modifieds, Hornets, Southwest Late Models, and the USRA Street Stocks.

The Southwest Late Model action was fast! Rick Ortega would show the way by a straightaway. After a caution coming out for Oscar Perez hitting Nitta Deetz in turn four and spinning on the front straightaway coming to a stop. Scott Logston would start on the front row on the restart. Rick Ortega had a nice lead, until Scott Logston was knocking on the door! Scott couldn't get around on the bottom, so he tried the high line, and put the chips in the center of the table. Logston would get around Ortega with a solid pass in the high line coming to the white. Scott Logston would park that Body Works, American Documents, Auto Zone, Barnett Harley Davidson, sponsored #7 in victory lane!

The USRA Street Stocks put another great show. Jon McDaniel, and Justin Lasiter started in turn two while the rest of the cars started out of turn four! Jennifer Munn would lead the opening laps, until Ted Cain got around her two laps in. Three laps later "Hello Jon McDaniel" Jon McDaniel would pass Cain for the lead. Justin "Faster" Lasiter came along for the ride. Both Alamogordo, New Mexico drivers would drive away from the rest of your field. Justin Lasiter had a fast car, but Jon McDaniel had a faster car! Justin Lasiter was about four car lengths behind Jon, but couldn't close the gap. Jon McDaniel would park that Alamo R.V, Q Motorsports, Alamo Towing, Pine Top Construction #17 in victory lane.

A great race took place with the Mighty Hornets! Rudy Tarin Jr who pilots the #28t would jump to a whole straightaway lead. Later the yellow would come out. At the restart Rudy Tarin Jr had it on the WRONG GEAR! He would drop to fifth. Andre Gonzalez would steal the lead, with his dad Abe Gonzalez following. The race ain't over yet, because here comes Rudy Tarin Jr back to the front! Rudy jumped to third quickly, but Andre Gonzalez would pick up his first win of the season! Last time Andre won it was on his mother's birthday back in 2012! Gonzalez parked that Speedy Repair, Team Valdez Hobbies, #67 in victory lane.

The USRA Modifieds was great. Tom Georges would start outside pole with Chad Falco on the pole. At the green Georges would show the way, with Falco behind him. On the first lap, Fito Gallardo would split the 555 of Falco, and the 49 of Duane Murphy for second. Fito would roll in second trying the bottom. He couldn't get around Georges, until Fito Gallardo finds a pot hole late in the race entering turn one. A lot of drivers around the country like pot holes, because if you hit the pot hole just right you will get a good chunk of traction exiting the pot hole. So Fito Gallardo would hit the pot hole every lap and looked like he got shot out of a cannon every time. Time was running out, and Gallardo couldn't get around Tom Georges. On the final lap a great way to close the night with a standing ovation by the fans as Gallardo went all out digging for gold on the bottom! He would try to make it a side by side finish at the end coming to the checker, but Tom Georges would through the elbow to Gallardo and would park that Georges Chiropractic and Wellness Center, Rick's Performance Center, Shaffer race Oil #28 in victory lane!
