Sander wins big for Bob

June 12, 2015
In memory of the man. Robert Miller. This race weekend started off a little differently than most race weekends here at El Paso Speedway Park. It started with heavy hearts and bowed heads as we all remember the life of the great man Robert Miller. Ask anyone who knew him and they will tell you he was an excellent driver, a fierce competitor, and a great man. The world really did lose someone special when it lost Robert and tonight we ran it all for him. We know you heard the noise we made for you tonight, all the way …

Gallardo’s Make Wind at “The Park”

June 5, 2015
Fito Gallardo would win the USRA Modified Feature Event at El Paso Speedway Park Friday night June 5th but it didn’t come easy as he had to battle with his brother, son and nephew almost all night. The 9 of Jimmy Ray put up the best Fight for Fito as he would lead 19 of the 25 laps before Fito could catch him. The 187, normally J16, of Josh Gallardo would start the USRA Modified main with the pole, as his dad, the M16 of Ricky Gallardo, was just to his outside. Jimmy Ray in the 9 had inside row 2 on lockdown and…

Fito Gallardo Sweeps First Career Late Model Victory!

May 15, 2015

Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas were represented in the Southwest Super Late Models twenty five lap main event. Fito Gallardo has plenty of USRA Modified wins, but not one Late Model main event win. Friday night May 15th that changed in the history books. Fito Gallardo went to Phoenix, AZ early this week to buy a Rocket Chassi since his Masters Built was demolished. It performed really well as in the heat race Dave Deetz was super fast battling Fito to keep the lead, until Fito drove around him. The main event was the…

Jacob Gallardo sweeps in El Paso!

May 8, 2015
Jacob Gallardo stayed strong to hold off his dad for the victory at the "Park". The USRA Modifieds were joined by the USRA Street Stocks, Mini Sprints, Super Trucks, and the Hornets. It was the Rusty Bowen show in the Super Truck Main event. Rusty lead from the drop of the green with a healthy gap between the field until he spun and made contact with the tire coming out of turn two with five laps to go. Sherman Barnett would get the lead after that situation and would hold on to win the Super Truck main even…
