Jacob Gallardo stayed strong to hold off his dad for the victory at the "Park". The USRA Modifieds were joined by the USRA Street Stocks, Mini Sprints, Super Trucks, and the Hornets. It was the Rusty Bowen show in the Super Truck Main event. The fans of West Texas were celebrating Cinco de Mayo early with a Cesar Fuentes victory Friday night at the "Park". The Border International Truck 305 Winged Sprint Cars opened their season along with the USRA X-Mods, and the Mini Sprints. Street Stocks would join the action. The fans kept the grandstands warm as they packed the stands for the 2015 Season Opener. The drivers also packed the pit area with 75 total cars checking in between all five classes combined. The awards banquet celebrating the 2014 racing season at the El Paso Speedway Park and Southern New Mexico Speedway will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Red Hawk Golf Club in Las Cruces, N.M.
